Lip Blush
Lip Blush is a permanent makeup color shading that adds a juicy, lively "lip injection" look to the lips. This procedure can address many irregularities such as lip lines, thinness/lack of shape, pale/ colorless lips, and even dark lips correction for blue/ purple /dark brown undertones. Results typically last 1-3 + years. (*See Dark Lip Blushing below)
Please remember that all permanent cosmetic makeup procedures usually require a touch-up and that we cannot control how much pigment the skin chooses to absorb. We do our absolute best to get the desired final color results, but the same color cannot be guaranteed as the final color will vary slightly depending on the skin. I cannot go beyond 2mm outside the lipline, or the results are not clean.

***DARK LIP BLUSHING

Dark Lips Blushing is a very specialized technique, the most challenging technique to execute, and requires a highly skilled artist to perform. We cannot use whatever color, especially with dark lips. The color in the ink bottle is not what will appear when it heals on the skin. Pigments contain different formulations that may appear visibly pink, but they can heal black in people with lips that are considered "dark." Dark includes a noticeably darker top lip and darker outer corners of the bottom lip. Dark also means women with "blue" or "purple" cold lips. Results typically last 1-3+ years.

Please keep in mind that this technique requires 2+ sessions. We have to monitor progress for one session and two months between sessions. I use safe pigments that lighten the lips and correct the "blue" and "purple" cold undertones in the skin. I do my absolute BEST to get you your desired end color result. The final colors are beige, lighter tan, pink, or peachy.

AFTERCARE
DAY 1
-
Absorb the lymph fluid for one hour every 5-10 mins. Absorbing it will remove lymph and blood, preventing scabs from forming. Then, apply a thin layer of Aquaphor.
HEALING PROCESS: Lips will be swollen and feel tender. The lips will be bright. The lips will feel dry so apply ointment.
Day 2-7
-
Wash with the soap provided, rinse in a patting motion, and apply Aquaphor throughout the day to keep lips constantly moist.
HEALING PROCESS: Lips will be less swollen but still tight and dry. Some peeling will occur. You may see a substantial amount of pigment come off. Do not pick or peel. The color will appear very light.
-
During the first seven days, do not use any of the following: cleaning creams or chemicals around the lip area (Retin-A, Retinol, glycolic acids, anti-aging or anti-acne products, Neosporin, aloe vera); foundation, powder, lip liner, and lip color.
HEALING PROCESS: The color appears very soft. Keep lips moisturized. Color may even seem to "disappear."
Day 14
-
During the first 14 days, DO NOT soak your lips in the pool, hot tub, lake, or bath.
HEALING PROCESS: Color begins to "bloom" gradually each day. Continue to moisturize
Day 1-30
NONE OF THE FOLLOWING FOR 30 DAYS
-
Sun exposure, tanning beds, chemical peels, microdermabrasion treatments, laser treatments, and light therapy.
HEALING PROCESS: The final color will appear after the healing process.

TOUCH-UPS:
One or two touch-up applications are usually necessary to achieve permanent makeup perfection. Touch-ups should occur no sooner than 6-8 weeks after the initial procedure.
Healing Process
TIPS FOR OPTIMAL HEALING
-
Sleep slightly elevated to help prevent morning after swelling
-
and no sweating. sweat contains salt, and salt removes pigment
-
do not expose lips to the full pressure of the shower water
-
Absolutely no; picking, scrubbing, exfoliating, or scratching the lip area. Allow any peeling/ scabbing to fake off on its own.
-
Once healed, the daily use of good sunscreen will provide the necessary protection for the lips. Sunscreen will also prevent premature fading.
-
Avoid spicy foods and citrus foods passing over the lips.
-
Move lips A LOT. Moving the lips will aid in faster healing.
-
No kissing for 48 hours.
